Today we are pleased to announce the release of The Death of Erin Myers, the first in our Short Story Series of point and click adventure games.
Erin Myers is dead. But how did she die? And why did she die? Find out, as you step back in time, and play through some of the most important moments of her life. Uncover her fears, her desires, and her darkest secrets. In the end, you can't save her. But maybe, just maybe, you can understand her.
Here at Viperante our desire is to create deep, engaging, thought provoking, narrative driven games. What we get most excited about, and what we love above all else, is story and character. We feel these two things are perhaps the most important things in drawing a player into a game, making them feel a part of it, having them care about what is going on, to whom, and why. We want to make games that explore a whole range of themes, ideas, and emotions. But we want to make games that are still fun and challenging to play too.
We are currently focussing our efforts in three places: what we call our "standard" games, which includes our first game Corrosion: Cold Winter Waiting; our "short story series", which is an anthology series of 5 shortish point and click adventure games; and our "experimental" games, where we will explore slightly different ways of telling stories, utilising experimental design and mechanics.
